We achieve this by providing financial instruments for investment in health value chains and liquidity for bridging financial gaps of both individuals and businesses faced with health-related emergencies.

With, our existing relationships within the healthcare sector, our dedicated and experienced team managing the health portfolio and a supportive board of directors, has been instrumental in enabling our capacity to provide targeted financial services for SMEs in the health sector. To ensure both growth and sustainability of businesses funded, loan facilities are provided in tandem with business development services aimed at improving the quality and capacity of the borrower. Access to credit facilities has fostered further investment in their business, enhancing scale and, in turn, stimulating quality improvements in the healthcare system.

In alignment with the national and county governments’ health sector objectives and the president’s Big 4 Agenda, as well as through partnerships with stakeholders in the health industry, we have so far disbursed USD 600K to 40 MSMEs within the health ecosystem. Currently, the portfolio has been performing above market average with asset quality at 99%, which proves that health sector MSMEs are bankable.

Currently, loan amounts range from USD. 1,000 to USD.30,000, and matching repayments with cash flow of the MSMEs. The loans finance various business needs, including; working capital through cash advance, invoice discounting, LPO financing and Till/Paybill Advance, Asset finance for medical equipment and other business assets, supplies, and insurance premiums.

Tip-Point Capital focuses on financing MSMEs in the healthcare sector in Kenya, serving a broad range of customers, including low and middle-income groups, as indicated by the size of loans above, with a plan to expand to all the 47 counties. Our current clientele includes clinics, hospitals, diagnostic centers and laboratories, pharmacies, health sector goods and service providers, e.g., medical supplies and pharmaceutical distributors.
